Entry #9 - Working Day! [By Lisa]

Even though I'm writing the entry on Saturday, I want to tell the story of yesterday. The academic bowl was extremely fun. Despite the fact I didn't sign up for any team, Ms. B randomly put me in a team anyway, and unfortunately enough, we didn't win. Actually, we lost to John's! Urgg!!

Anyway, later when we proceeded into the canteen for an assembly, it was worth listening when Mr. Greg told us about not giving up and keep walking forward. Keep trying even though you might fail - it's a good message. He just wanted us to be happy and proud of ourselves, because we've tried our best, when we receive our report cards in the following week. Besides, he also mentioned me for my poem getting published in the magazine, and he asked me to stand up. It was seriously embarrassing, yet really really honorable.

Well, Alex team won for the students', obviously enough - and we all cheered for him. I hate the fact that the teachers team won, but it was actually a cool event anyway. After that, Mary, Linda, Vivi, Jessica, Justine, Jack, Selena, and Darlene came to my house to record some songs - credited to this ethnography project that you will later see, and afterward we spent some extremely memorable times together. We chatted and sort of got closer to each other, and we also came to discuss about our future jobs. Mary wants to be a pharmacist - which I think wouldn't fit her because she's got a talent not in pharmacy (she should follow her dream and not her parents' - no offense); Jessica wants to be a doctor - wish her my best luck because she's extremely smart; and Selena wants to be a tour guide - with her extreme level of humor and speech, she'll make it! (besides, she likes to travel) We also talked about other matters, and they were worth our time because we all got better and relaxed after telling our stories.

Right now, we're working on our final production of the project. I'm worried though, that it might not be as good as expected. We've only surveyed 3 staffs - which are NOT enough! This week as a busy one, yet we can't give any excuse for that. Gosh!!! I'm getting crazy!!!!!
