Entry #5 - Seriously sleepy! [By Lisa]

What's up? Here is Lisa again, and right now it's 6:17 in the morning. Yesterday I was so messed up with other things I couldn't have time to post anything, so I decided to wake up early to create an entry like the other day. Anyway, yesterday was okay - Mr. Pat and Mr. Blake weren't absent anymore so we did have work to do in class :) Especially in Mr. Blake's class, we spent the whole period discussing about what happens currently in Japan and how we can help them. As all of you have known already, an earthquake has happened in Japan and continuously caused a tsunami. Followed by the disasters, a nuclear explosion has also taken place - such a horrible catastrophe! We also talked about how we can help them, except for donating on dress down day, and the group that I was in decided to create a blog to mobilize other schools, parents' relatives or relationships; we also planned to ask Mr. Greg to send emails to other schools to spread the fund raising. Obviously there is just talk now, but I truly hope we can carry the plan out.

Good news: 1) Today Linda's back on the show! 2) The progress of the survey has increased again 3) I'm going to interview Mr. Greg, Mr. Blake, Mr. Ford, Mr. Tim, Ms. Sarah, etc today and hopefully the videos will be available on the blog tonight :)

Good day,

Entry #4 - An Extremely Funny Stressful Day! [By Lisa]

Helloo guys and gals, obviously by the status, to day was a hard day for me. Linda is in a vacation now, and honestly, I find this project difficult and challenging despite being fun and stuffs. Anyway, besides this ethnography project, we're having a math project for Ms. B, an essay project for Mr. Michael, a health project for Mr. Tim, and a science test from Mr. Elliott this Wednesday. Generally speaking, you can see how stressful this week can be, and I feel stuck in no where now. I don't know where to start, to continue, and how we are going to present this project. So far only Tom T and I have been writing journals, because Zack and Linda are no where to be found. This blog is made for a more fun and educational purpose, but it probably doesn't turn out well.

Good news though. I went home today and checked my e-mail immediately. Surprisingly, many teachers and students have responded to the surveys and I'm super glad. That means we are increasing our process, and I hope tomorrow there will be more. Therefore, please check your ais email for more information. Nighty!

Entry #3 - Best School Day Evah!!!! [By Tom T]

Hi, this is Tom speaking. Today might be the best school day because Mr. Patrick and Mr. Blake were absent. Social Studies quiz will move to tomorrow (March 15, 2011). And it’s Pi day today, so I ate donuts made by Sarah in Math class. Tom Loc also taught me some yoyo tricks.

Now I’m a little uncomfortable with this ethnography journal writing. Because I’m out of ideas and Lisa forced me to make it long like hers, (she’s so annoying). Come to talk about ethnography, I haven’t started anything yet. I don’t have a plan so I don’t know when I should do it. Lisa already told me details about my job, but I still find it hard. Why don’t divide into 2 small groups that help each other on their job?
